I got my leaners two months ago and now i'm driving on back roads and small highways. I am having trouble judging how to stay in the middle of the lane without hitting the on coming car. I don't know how to judge staying on my side but not going off the road. everytime a car places me i in up in the grass a little or half the wheel off the road. cause i am scared of hitting the car, so i need to learn how to stay in the middle of my lane. is their any tips on how to help me judge this? like if i look at the line or what. i have been looking at the right side of the car and judging by how close i can get to that side. PLEASE HELP!

Hi Hawk, and welcome to Fun and Safe driving! Smile

You'll get a feel eventually, it just takes some time. To speed it up try to adjust your side mirrors slightly downwards, so you can see sides of your car and middle line and road edge in the vicinity of your car rear end. Most mirrors will allow you to do this, while still having some room to see cars behind you. This way a glance in the mirror gives you an exact location of your car in relation to middle line/road edge. Tilt mirrors back up when you get comfortable with staying in lane.

Hope this helps Smile

Hey inorder to overcome your fear first basic lesson is to grab your wheel in 12 o clock position, then you have to assess the raod traffic thats a ahead. if you are appraching a car decide before itself whether you are over taking it or just following it. By doing so your fear may reduce.
