There's a "Diverging Diamond" interchange being built in an area near me.
There's only 8 of them in the US. Ours will be number 8.
I don't think they'll need as much getting used to as a rotary, because the traffic patterns will be guided on where to go by clear lane markings and signal lights.
The thing about it, is that traffic flow will temporarily be switched to the opposite side of the road. So that will be slightly unusual.
This is being done to clear a congested area by allowing free'r flow onto a highway overpass (590) @ Winton Rd, in Rochester NY.
