Hello,
I am 15 years old and I currently have my drivers permit. I am moving to Texas on the first week in August. I took a very very reputable driving class here in Colorado called Master Drive. They are very well known nationally.

My friend moved from Florida to Texas, and she wasn't able to get her license in Texas for another 6 months because her permit was from Florida.

Here is my question: Will I be able to get my license in Texas or will I have to fly back to Colorado to get my license?

Well, that's the best info I was able to come up with: http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/DriverLicense/movingtotexas.htm

I think the best course of action for you is to call or email them directly, with all applicable details. Their contact data is here: https://www.txdps.state.tx.us/DriverLicense/customer_service/Contact.asp

Good luck! Smile

Your lucky in my state the age for even a permit is 16. I would say either get your licence before you go or call there DMV and find out before hand so you know what your walking into. Of course you could always just take the extra 6 months and do a little more practice driving.
