practice man.... it's really dangerous for a driver not to know his car size and it's steering response...

I would suggest you all to install a parking sensor in your car for perfect parking.

no sensors mate.... this will only get you comfortable by doing nothing.... you should do the calculations and this will help you understand your car better

This is the 21st century. Science has brought us technological gadgets that improve our lives in many ways, makes many tasks our grandfathers and fathers did easier. I agree with you sriram. For whatever helps use it.

and thats why accidents increase, because drivers are less skilled. Technology > skill

Coming in the near future, a standard add-on to vehicles will be radar brakes to prevent crashes into any object ahead. Technology has helped to prevent accidents. There have been many improvement to cars over the years. Today's car is not our great grandfather's car. A parking aide is a useful tool. Those who want to go without its benefits, that is their choice. Those who want it, need it, shouldn't be discouraged. BTW, when power steering and automatic drive were introduced, there were folks who thought that the roads would fill up with "unskilled drivers" , would make it easier for females to drive, who would just ruin the manly art of handling the automobile,and yes, cause countless accidents.

everyone prefer to drive their cars updated with the latest technology to ease their driving....basically technology eliminates max risk...

To park properly first u should see whether your car fits into the space avail;able in the side of the road. Then put the indicator lights and park your car safely.

I backed into parallel parking only once in my life, during my driving test. Lately I've been wondering about the feasibility of spinning a donut into a space instead of the traditional series of maneuvers.

And yes, I agree! I hate all those tedious maneuvers that you have to learn to the last detail in order to pass the damn test!

Nothing beats practice and experience when it comes to driving - the more you drive, the better you get. After a while, it's more like following your instinct than any fixed formula you learnt in a book...
