I usually react well the surprises on the road. THIS one had me stomping the brake like it would make me slow down faster and yelling words not to be repeated in civilized forums Very Happy

I was merging onto the lefthand lane of Lakeshore Dr. from one of the onramps in downtown Chicago. There was a red Pontiac behind me. When I merged into the left lane, the pontiac went directly into the middle lane and gunned it to pass me. he got just ahead of me and started to turn into my lane. his back wheels lost traction while he was turning into the lane so his car overturned and whipped into my lane while the guy was overcorrecting the other direction. (keep in mind this is within a foot of my front bumper while I had locked up my brakes and was skidding) His front end just missed the concrete divider to the left of the lane but his back end was still sliding and slapped it hard enough to knock that side of the bumper off and dent the heck out of the quarterpanel. He then got control of his car, sped off weaving between cars and took the next offramp. It was so close to me that I checked for red paint on my bumper.

damn pontiacs...

Eventhough it sounds very funny You and the other person should feel lucky that you both didnt get hurt. consider yourself that you have escapped an accident.
