Welcome to Fun And Safe Driving Jonriber. Thank you for joining the forum.

Coffee is great for a kick start, but I'm afraid, it's effects are not going to last very long if you're tired or fatigued. So, the best solution is to stop for regular breaks and naps while driving long distances.

Coffee is good as an occasional cup. However, it is not good as:
- A solution for fatigue which has already started to kick in
- A solution for not eating by drinking large quantities of coffee on an empty stomach (coffee is acidic)
- A long-term solution: The impact of coffee is short-term and is followed by a certain "drop" in alertness. It is also increases urination.

Take frequent breaks while driving, preferably a brief ten minute break each hour!
