We're driving in the right lane along on a fast-paced road, two lanes each way. (Here we drive on the right) Suddenly the panel truck to our left begins to move over as if we weren't there. My husband, the driver, scooted over as far as he could but there was a cement wall that was a bridge support, we were under an overpass. Hubby had to step on the brakes and honk long and loud, and the truck swerved back over to his original lane.

Then, we hear the guy behind us sliding and I braced myself for the wreck, but it didn't happen. My husband had started to move again, and we felt the slightest of a push. The guy behind us was old and he pulled over with his hazard lights on so we stopped to make sure he was okay. My husband went back there and found the old guy was sorry for hitting our truck. There is actually a pretty noticeable dent in our truck! We didn't even feel it. That little push we felt certainly didn't tell us we were hit hard enough to dent it like that. The old guy's okay and I think that my husband not having his foot on the brakes made the impact so easy we didn't feel it.

Made me a little jittery as a passenger for the ride home from the bank, but that was the worst of it.

Glad you guys are OK! Smile

The trucker probably just did not see you. I was not there, so I can't comment on what was the reason for that.

And you are quite right about much less impact because your truck started to move already. If it was standing, and on breaks, the impact definitely would have been much stronger! Smile
